The Silky Terrier was first bred in the 19th century and was bred from Australian and Yorkshire Terriers. The Silky Terrier was bred to be a companion dog.

APPEARANCE(S)

The Silky is a small and delicate dog. The ears are erect and they have tails that are docked at birth.

COLOR(S)


This breed is usually seen in blue and tan.

COAT


The coats are long and silky and have a part at the top of the head down the back to the tail.

This breed loves to stay close to it owners. They are great lap dogs and enjoy mature children. They are very loyal to the family and make good watchdogs, as they will bark at strangers.
