The German Pinscher originated around 18th century Germany. They were bred from Doberman Pinschers and Miniature Pinschers. They were used as vermit hunters, and guard dogs.

APPEARANCE(S)

German Pinschers have a small to medium build. The head is long and the ears can be se. The ears can be drop or cropped to stand erect. They have a high tucked abdomen and the tail is usually docked short.

COLOR(S)

This breed is most commonly seen in black and tan, fawn, blue, or solid red.

COAT

The coat is short.

This breed will do better with older children, and will chase small animals and they can be food aggressive. Fox Terriers are known to dig in the yard when they are not given as much attention as needed.

*This is not a good breed for the first time dog owner
