The Cocker Spaniel was bred from the English Cocking Spaniels; they were used to flush out Woodcocks from their holes in trees. The Cocker Spaniel is the smallest of all of the bird dogs.
APPEARANCE(S)
The Cocker Spaniel has a small to medium built body with a rounded top head. The ears are long and droopy as well as the skin on the face. The tail is usually docked right after birth.COLOR(S)
This breed is most commonly seen in buff, liver and white, white, and black. Some Cockers have “freckles” on the face.
COAT
The coat of the Cocker Spaniel is flat and silky with feathers on the underbody, legs, feet and ears.
