The Chinese Crested was brought to Asia from Africa with traders. This breed was popular among sailors, as they were used to hunt and kill rats aboard ships.

APPEARANCE(S)

Chinese Crested dogs are small with tall erect ears and round eyes.

COLOR(S)


This breed can be seen with grey and pink skin, or they can have long hair of any color.

COAT


The Chinese Crested can be hairless over the body except for the top of the head, tail and on the feet. There is long haired breed that can have long silky hair over the body.

The hairless variety needs special attention. If it is cold they need to wear clothes, and when it is hot, the skin needs to be protected from sunburn.
