The Beauceron was bred in France exclusively. They were bred to herd and protect large flocks of sheep in France. This breed was known to be able to herd sheep 50 miles a day and not be tired.

APPEARANCE(S)

Beaucerons are large framed dogs built very strong. The head is long and the ears are normally cropped. They have skinny hooked tails.

COLOR(S)

The Beauceron is usually all black with markings of tan, grey or brown.

This breed needs to have a job, they love to work and play second. These dogs are great to get involved in any kind of competitive dog sports. They also make great protectors for the house.
