The American Foxhound is a direct descendant of the European Foxhound. This breed has existed since the 1700’s and was as the name says, bred to hunt fox.

APPEARANCE(S)

American Foxhounds large with long legs and built to run. Their heads are big and ears are droopy with a long curved tail.

COLOR(S)

The American Foxhound is usually the traditional tri-color of the hounds, black, tan and white.
