Overview
HISTORY
There is more of a legend to the Abyssinian breed that leads us to believe these cats were once companions to the Egyptians. In reality it is more likely that this breed was developed by the British people and was originally bred from a British Shorthair for a particular coat and color scheme. One will find a variety of explanations for the origins of this breed, but none can be historically verified.
